New attack on Russia The president of Ukraine launched today, Friday (30.05.25), Volodimir Zelenskiaccusing Moscow of doing everything to ensure that the proposals for June 2 talks in Istanbul will not lead to any results.
“In order for a meeting to make sense (between Ukraine and Russia), its agenda must be clear and the negotiations must be properly prepared,” Volodimir Zelenski told X.
“Unfortunately” as he noted, “he does everything he can to ensure that the next possible meeting does not work.”
Ukraine requires Moscow to have in her hands the Memorandum for Peace before talks in Constantinople.
Moscow rejects a simple ceasefire of fire
Earlier today, Russia said to the United Nations Security Council that a mere ceasefire is not enough to end Moscow’s three -year and more war in Ukraine.
“In order to achieve a sustainable and constant settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, we must face its deeper causes,” Russian envoy to the UN envoy told the Security Council. Santa Claus Nebenzia.
“What we propose is a second round of talks in Constantinople next Monday … where we can exchange memoranda about the approaches of the two sides in the negotiations process.”
