‘The latest polls confirm once again key features of the political system
There is a central party, the ND, which is the only thing that persuades the ability to rule, ensure stability and replenish losses even in difficult conditions, but of course it is in the 30% zone and not 40%, as just two years ago.
Beyond that there is an embarrassing, weak, fragmented opposition, with difficulty even some parties adapting to new conditions, performance, contributing to a new situation in the political system.
After the storm that passed the previous quarter, ND It is a 13.5% voting estimate from the second navigation of freedom and 17% from PASOK, which has lost 6% -7% in six months, the KKE and the Greek solution are distinguished in the 8% -10% zone and five parties move around 3%.
Therefore, we are facing a picture of a party’s dominance and liquidity that can create a state of instability. When the stability of the political system rests on one foot, what would happen if it was damaged too? In short, the political balance is incomplete and fragile.
In essence, the political scene, though under completely different circumstances, is reminiscent of 2012 days. Then, after 38 years of strong dualism. – PASOK, we found ourselves in front of a unique triggering of the political system. Now we have a similar picture. What is the difference? Then it was paid by the dominant forces of powerful dualism. Now, although the ND is damaged, the major deterioration, the opposition is damaged by the major damage. The result is obvious – there is not even a weak bipartisanship.
SYRIZA, a sixth party, is at 6% and six parties were created since SYRIZA in 2015. PASOK does not seem to be persuaded as a government with a government proposal and a clear strategy and, while twice spent years in second place, lost it in a record time. The freedom navigation that has fired a poll seems to have a “roof” and in any case may face a decrease in its forces. The four-five parties around 3% will fight survival until the parliamentary elections.
Therefore, a new point of balance is difficult to see. Much more with the parties unable to change, forces discussing with the absent policy of weak unions and others hope for the appearance of a Messiah. In these circumstances, let it not seem strange whether ND raises its rates. Or if a capable populist appears to fill this void of opposition. “
