To more than 154,000 are the young 18 and 19 years old, who will receive financial support of 150 euros this year under Youth Pass 2025of the digital debit card, which is a measure of encouragement and importing young people into cultural and tourism activities, strengthening the domestic cultural and tourism industry, as well as familiarization of young people using electronic transactions.
More specifically, the 18 -year -old young people, who filed the application for Youth Pass until the deadline of May 15, 2025 and for whom the cost of aid is € 13,378,800, amounted to EUR 15,800.
In addition, the young 19 -year -olds who had already applied for the previous year are automatically reinforced and their applications amount to 64,872 with the total aid reaching € 9,730,800. Compared to previous years there has been a significant increase in young people who will receive Youth Pass, as 139,728 applications had been submitted in 2023 and 2024, 145,688.
Beneficiaries of Youth Pass per year are natural persons, tax residents of Greece, who on December 31 of the previous year have reached 18 or 19 years of age and have not reached the same date in the 20th year. It is emphasized that there are no property or income criteria.
Beneficiaries receive 150 euros in a digital debit card in the form of the application of the application and, if they continue to meet the necessary conditions, in addition to EUR 150 in the following year. They can spend 150 euros for:
- Cultural activities (cinema, theaters, museums).
- Movements (trains, buses, ships).
- Tourist services (hotels, travel packages).
The budget of the program for 2025 is EUR 30 million and is funded by the regular budget. Young people, in order to submit their application, must first registered in the National Communication Registry (EMEP), in the emep.gov.gr.
Aid Credit Procedure
The € 150 aid is credit in the form of a digital debit card, which will be sent to credit institutions by May 31. It is noted that there may be a delay of 1 – 2 business days until the beneficiaries receive the support.
The Credit Institution or Financial Agency informs the beneficiary of the first card activation and the credit of the amount by SMS or email with a built -in link to activate the digital debit card.
