At the same time, the subsidiary of the Hellenic Group, Reds is currently staying with Marina Alimos and some tourist real estate that has acquired months ago, including the “Olympic” hotel in Maroussi on L. Kifissia. The redevelopment of troughs, however, is a big bet for Dimand and the question that remains to be answered is whether the existing spatial plan will follow.
Specifically, this is a seaside area of 345 acres for which the urban study has been published. The completion of the agreement is set in time, provided that all the terms and conditions implemented by this kind of real estate transfers in the summer are fulfilled by the end of July.
In terms of project timetable, however, remains unknown, as investment in plot without existing buildings have a long ripening time. However, Dimand’s goal is for construction projects to begin in late 2025 or early 2026.
In the project gournes, as Reds had called it, the creation of a casino, a cluster of luxury hotels and houses was foreseen in one part of the property. The Financial Adviser will launch a study focusing on international investors and casino businesses to find out if there is interest in the market for the development of casino in troughs. Then the legal adviser, based on the data he has in his hands, will proceed with the issuance of the issue of the competition. It is estimated that, on the basis of the current data, by the end of the year the announcement of the relevant tender will be ready unless new derogations are noted and the process moves smoothly.
It is also a unique seaside area, located 13 km from Nikos Kazantzakis Airport, 16 km from the city of Heraklion and 20 km from the new international airport in Kasteli. This area, since 2013, had to be of over -significant importance to the region and be a pole of numerous activities.
It is recalled that the investment takes place at the former American base, which is a total of 752 acres, of which 345 will make the investment. It is recalled that Dimand was one of the stakeholders four years ago, in 2021 for the project in Crete in the relevant HRADF competition, offering a financial bid just over 38m euros when the Reds bid was just over 40m euros. At the same time, Andriopoulos’ company also acquired the Kamba estate that can build 90 mm. mixed uses, of which about 3.6 mm. They relate to existing preserved buildings with the agreement includes two more small plots in the Kamba Triangle of the Municipality of Pallini (with residential use and one preserved).
