New beam of additional arrangements related to public salaries and allowancesbeyond those announced in TIFapproved in today’s (30.09.2025) Council of Ministers.
Specifically, the TIF package adds the following forecasts: Administration allowance in the Security Forces is established, the 130 -euro “border” allowance is expanded to the mainland police officers, the remuneration of special categories of the Foreign Ministry is increased, a tax -free library allowance is increased, and the release Scale.
In the police, the Fire Brigade and the Port Authority, the new administration allowance is adopted by analogy in the armed forces in recognition of responsibility positions. At the same time, the 130 euro allowance paid today to executives serving in Evros and the islands: Beneficiaries are also the police officers serving in border stations and departments of the mainland in Epirus, Macedonia and Thrace. Saying increases in security forces have been launched since October 2025.
The prison stores are established with a special duties of 100 euros. The reform is accompanied by JMD that reshapes the dangerous and unhealthy work allowance, replacing the horizontal regime that is currently in force, so that staff can receive an average increase in the same as that given to the security forces.
For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the special duties allowance (EUR 120–184 per position) is increased, a corresponding allowance for additional sectors is introduced, while compensation for tuition fees are increasing. A joint ministerial decision also provides for the compensation of the compensation of a foreign service, depending on the country of placement.
In university and research staff, the library allowance is tax -free, while the wage classification and development of researchers is recognized for a service and a teaching/research project provided to HEIs or bodies of Law 4310/2014, regardless of the contract and the contract.
At the same time, the five -year diploma (eg Polytechnic) is awarded by two -step promotion, a measure estimated to be about 5,000 employees at an annual cost of € 7 million. In addition, there is a salary distinction for directors serving in the presidency of the Government – mainly in the General Secretariat for Coordination – to cease to identify remuneration with the bosses on the basis of the applicable framework.
