From Lemnos to Karpathos and from Samothraki to Kastellorizo, Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced to the TIF that it reduces the rates by 30%. VAT in the acre islands with a permanent population of less than 20,000 inhabitants.
It is an extension of the special VAT regime that – to date – covered only five islands (Leros, Lesvos, Kos, Samos, Chios). The specialization and timetable for implementation will be presented by the financial staff, with most measures in the package being placed in 2026.
