West Bank: Israeli settlers set fire to houses and cars

Dozens of Israeli settlers set fire today (04/06/2025) homes and cars in the city of Deir Diban in West Bankaccording to media reports from Palestine and Israel.

The Palestinian Red Crescent treated seven residents of the city of Deir Diban on the West Bank, who complained that they were beaten by settlers from Israel. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reports that the perpetrators attacked several residents.

Citing sources from security services, the Israeli newspaper Gediot Ahronot (Ynet) reports that about 40 young Israelis – among them masked – entered the city of Deir Diban, near Ramamala. The Israeli army was sent to the area.

A Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) spokesman commented that reports on the attack were being investigated.

Violence on the West Bank, which has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, has escalated after the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip, a trigger for which Hamas’ unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7th.

Since then, at least 928 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli army attacks on the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

At the same time, according to official Israeli data, at least 33 Israelis – civilians and military – have been killed in Palestinian attacks or during the Israeli army.
