According to the weather forecast by Clearchos Marousakis, the whole new week will be full of rain and storms. The most intense phenomena are focused towards the west, the north and the east of the Aegean.
In his article on marousakis.gr, he states that “an extensive system of low barometric pressures in the area of Italy will push waves of stormy rain towards our area until the middle of the new week with southerlies dominating our seas approaching 6 with 7 Beauforts’.
From Monday to Wednesday the rains and storms will concern the Ionian, the continental and the eastern Aegean. The storms will show more intensity and duration mainly in marine and coastal areas.
Then on Thursday and Friday, northerlies are expected with a drop in temperature: “On Thursday and Friday, atmospheric circulation will temporarily change as a field of high barometric pressure from central Europe will spread further south, closing the way for the barometric lows from the west to move further east . Thus, northern weather will prevail, resulting in a drop in temperature, northern winds in the Aegean and a weakening of the rains, which will be limited to the eastern mainland and northern Crete.”

In the Ionian, the western mainland, eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the north-eastern Aegean, clouds with local rains and sporadic storms. In the rest of the country a few clouds at intervals increased with local rains mainly in Thessaly.
A little snow will fall in the highlands of Epirus and Macedonia.
The winds will blow in the west south southwest 4 to 5 Beaufort, which will gradually turn to the west with the same intensity. In the east there will be south southwest winds 4 to 6 and in the northern Aegean in the morning hours locally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change appreciably. It will reach 14 to 16 degrees in the north, 17 to 19 degrees in the rest of the regions and 21 degrees locally in Crete and the Dodecanese.
