Autumn seems to be the closure of this summer, since on Saturday (30.08.2025) they are expected to “hit” the country heavy rains and thunderstorms, while the temperature will mark a slight decline.
This year, August will not leave sunny and warm, as is customary, since tomorrow the weather is changing with dangerous thunderstorms mainly in the northern parts of the country. Today, the temperature will remain high, with mercury reaching 35 degrees Celsius in Western Greece and Attica.
At the same time, the winds to the west today will be variable west 3 to 4 beaufort, while in the east they will blow from northern directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean 6 temporary local 7 beaufort with rapid weakening.
The temperature will reach most of the 32 to 34 and locally on the western continents 35 degrees Celsius.
In the Cyclades, the Sporades and northern Crete, mercury will not exceed 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Exceeded 100 km/h the winds of winds Thursday
Very reinforced north winds prevailed in the eastern continents and in the Aegean on Thursday, August 28th.
According to the Meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens Automatic Meteorological Stations, the strongest gusts until 17:15 exceeded 90 km/h while at Cape Paximada they reached 113 km/h.
