It is recalled that due to the EU’s obligation to use all ships from May 1st “green” fuel, which is more expensive, ferry companies had announced increases in ticket prices by 12%- 15%.
In order to contain prices for travelers and not to make the above increases, the government has reduced the port fees by 50%. This is how the goal was achieved not to make the increases early in the month, and today’s market reductions were announced by up to 32% on high -speed tickets already using green fuel. The reductions announced relate to families and groups of three people or more.
Concerning the port of Spetses, Mr. Kikilias, after thanking the island’s mayor, Eugenia Frangia, said that the intention of the ministry and personally, is to support the island and in terms of the old port and the old port.
