Two employees of the Israeli embassy at Washington They lost their lives by shooting On Wednesday night (21.05.2025) near a Jewish Museum, according to US Secretary of Procedure, Christie Novem.
The two employees who died in Washington’s shots were a couple and were soon to be engaged. A man has been arrested for the attack.
The perpetrator was outside the Jewish Museum approached a group of four people who left it opened fire, and fatally injured the couple.
He then tried to enter the building where he was immobilized by security personnel. The perpetrator, called Elia Rodriguez, is 30 years old and comes from Chicago and during his arrest he shouted slogans such as “freedom in Palestine”.

Novem announced the shooting in Washington via its post on the X platform, shortly after the attack outside the Capital Jewish Museum, which is just a few steps from the FBI offices in the US capital.
Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC. We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share. Please pray for the families of the victims.
We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, speaks of a “heinous terrorist and anti -Semitic crime”.
“We are confident that US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal activity,” Danon said in a post. “Israel will continue to act decisively to protect citizens and representatives – anywhere in the world.”
Israel’s Ambassador says the deadly double shooting happened outside the Capital Jewish Museum where there was an event happening.
He says Israeli embassy employees were also injured.

Trump condemned the attack
US President Donald Trump has condemned the “horrible” murders of two members of Israel’s diplomatic staff in Washington – Andra and women – committed near the Jewish Museum of the US capital.
“These horrible murders” in Washington “obviously with the motivation of anti -Semitism, they must end now!” The state leader said via Truth Social, capitalizing on all the letters of the last word for emphasis, as he is used to. “Hate and radicalization have no place in the US,” he added.
