Ward on Olympiacos – Hapoel Tel Aviv: Hope to do some trash talking with Malcolm

THE Olympic puts the loss against Monaco behind him and turns his attention to the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv at SEF for the 8th matchday of the Euroleague.

Olympiakos players trained for the tough home game against league leaders Hapoel Tel Aviv, with Tyson Ward representing the players and talking about the clash with Dimitris Itoudis’ side.

The American forward of Piraeus will meet for the first time as an opponent Colin Mancolm, with whom he was teammates last year in Paris.

What Tyson Ward said at Media Day

Because Monaco were a team with attacking talent and so did Hapoel who have the best attack: It is not a matter of tactics, but physicality and how much we will keep it at high levels. We should start well and we will have to see how we can maintain that pressure. We should start strong, the most important thing is toughness.

On his missed shot against Monaco to equalize and that Dorsey believes he will score the next: “It’s a great feeling. Against Maccabi I had put it, now I didn’t. It hurts when you don’t, you always want to hit the target. I like that they believe in me.”

On the perimeter shooting stats that aren’t good and if they’ve discussed it with each other: “No, we haven’t discussed it. We’ve seen the percentages, we’ve got confident players who can take the shots. We’ve got confident players and we think we’re going to do better.”

For Colin Malcolm who is Hapoel’s top scorer: “Yes I watch all my former teammates and I watch him too. I’m proud of him. I wish everyone the best of luck except when they play against Olympiakos. I hope to do some trash talking with him.”
