In spite of the efforts from the Donald Trumpto ensure peace in Ukrainehostilities with Russia continue.

As announced today 22.08.2025 the Russiaoccupied 3 villages in the Donetsk region of Eastern Ukraine.

This is in an attempt to enhance pressure from Russia to Ukrainian territory, and even diplomatic efforts have been exacerbated in recent days.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced through the Telegram application that it occupied the villages of Katerinifka, Volontimirifka and Ruin Yar to the region, which Moscow has attached.

The Moscow army, has increased its territorial profits in recent months against Ukrainian forces that number fewer men and are less well equipped.

This promotion is noted, while US President Donald Trump, who aspires to put an end to Russia’s attack in Ukraine in 2022, announced that he was preparing a meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukraine

The Ukrainian leader accused his Russian counterpart on Thursday of seeking to “avoid” this meeting, and Donald Trump admitted that he would know more about the chances of peace “in the next two weeks”.

The Russian army currently holds about 20% of Ukrainian territory.
