Waiting for “White Tobacco” by Amalia – Alexis Tsipras’ plans and the new conference that shakes the waters

The new International Conference in Athens
In the meantime, the Second International Conferencedesigned by the former prime minister and his associates, is expected to take place in June in Athens and de facto brings Alexis Tsipras to the forefront. The conference is reported to be a loud political event that will attempt to raise new reflections on the public sphere and bring back strategic issues for progressive forces.
The organization is already at an advanced stage: Invitations have been sent to world -wide and high prestige personalities, and the program is shaped to reflect the challenges of the time – from geopolitical developments to progressive answers to issues of democracy, economics and social justice.
As circles from Alexis Tsipras’ environment point out, the conference will also have intense international characterwith “aroma of America”, as there are open channels of communication with think tanks and academic institutions in the US, including Harvard. In fact, it is not excluded that there are synergies and exchanges with progressive networks on the Atlantic.
This year’s conference is expected to be different from last year’s title “For peace and sustainable development”. Although the new title has not yet been revealed, it is estimated that it will mark a more targeted political proposal, with an emphasis on world challenges and the role of democratic and progressive forces in the new international environment.

The only sure thing is that Alexis Tsipras chooses to maintain control of his political presence, without being dragged by the pressure of time or the internal impasses of the left.
The upcoming conference will be an important test – both communicative and political. Will capture whether the former prime minister can re -form a influencereconnect with wider audiences and emit political mark beyond party seals.
