The authorities’ investigations into the matter are still in full progress carnage in Vorizia at Heraklion of Crete, with the authorities proceeding with yet another arrest.
Specifically, on the evening of Wednesday, November 12, for the massacre in Vorizia in Heraklion, Crete, a 23-year-old member of the Kargakis family was arrested on an arrest warrant for the detonation of the improvised explosive device at the house of the 27-year-old Fragiadakis brother, on Friday night, October 31.
The information states that this is the nephew of the 39-year-old murdered, Fanouris Kargakis, and the son of the deceased’s son-in-law, who was on remand (for animal theft), in the prisons of Halicarnassus, where the “du” was also done by the special forces.
There were suspicions against the 23-year-old from the beginning as, according to journalistic sources, on the night in question, immediately after the explosion, approximately 3-4 minutes later, the movement of the vehicle belonging to his family was recorded. However, in the same area, in the same neighborhood, their family’s houses are also located.
Official sources describe to Cretalive that the driver of the vehicle before getting into the car and driving off, opens and closes the trunk, but nothing else can be seen due to darkness.
According to the same report, police officers from the TAE Messaras arrested him at the village cemetery where they had gone as a family to burn incense, according to information.
It is interesting, however, that the 23-year-old, as revealed by Cretalive.gr, on Friday night appeared as a guest at the wedding where the 29-year-old Fragiadakis brother was best man, in Heraklion. He was a guest of the couple.
Fragiadakis himself mentions it in his apology. This means, based on the warrant, that the 23-year-old is credited with going to the wedding, giving gifts, and then left for Vorizia and detonated the bomb in the house of 27-year-old Fragiadakis.
