Volodimir Zelenski declares “ready” for direct negotiations with Russia

THE Volodimir Zelenski said Ukraine is ready for direct negotiations with Russiain any form, once the ceasefire comes into force.

“After the truce in Ukraine, we are ready to sit (at the negotiating table) with Russia in any form so that there are no deadlock,” Volodimir Zelenski said at a press conference.

The Ukrainian delegation to meet tomorrow (23/04/2025) in London with western delegations will be instructed to discuss full or partial truce.

“It will not be possible to agree on everything very quickly,” he warned, noting that there are many complex issues, such as territorial, security guarantees and NATO’s integration.

He noted that Ukraine would not recognize de Juree the Russian occupation of Crimea because this would be unconstitutional.

Concerning the Zaporizia nuclear power station, which is occupied by Russia, the Ukrainian president said there was no official US proposal for his future regime.

Tomorrow’s London talks will be attended by representatives of the US, Britain, France, Germany and Ukraine. State Department spokesman Tami Bruce said tonight that the US Secretary of State will not travel to London, but Washington will be represented by special envoy Keith Klogk.

Zelenski also said it would be his pleasure to meet with US President Donald Trump later this week, when they were both in Italy for Pope Francis’ funeral.

Chinese work in the production of drones in Russia

The Ukrainian president also argued that Chinese citizens are working at a drone plant in Russia, in another Kiev attack on Beijing.

Last week, Zelenski had said that China was giving weapons and ammunition to Russia, openly accusing, for the first time, the world’s second -largest economy of providing immediate military assistance to Moscow. China denies these categories.
