The Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis He visited today Tuesday, April 1st, the Athens General Hospital “Evangelismos” on the occasion of the start of the ICT support program by 12 executives Red Cross.

The aim of the new program is to provide information and guidance to patients with the hospital procedures, to serve faster, to support flow management to reduce delays and errors and to support administrative staff with the aim of ensuring good information.

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis said:

“I am extremely proud because today there is a very ambitious program that we presented a few days ago with the Red Cross, which will completely change the experience of patients in the on -call Attica hospitals. Trained and excellent scientifically trained volunteers of the Greek Red Cross will undertake to guide and facilitate patients who will reach these on -call. I believe it is very important at the time of the great anxiety when one arrives at the emergency of a hospital, to have a person to direct them. Of course they do not replace the role of neither doctors and nurses nor other staff, but they will make a significant difference. We are moving through hard work and plan to change the image of the NHS. “

The implementation of the program will continue in the coming days at the Athens General Hospital “George Gennimatas” where 25 volunteers will assist.
