Visit by Stefanos Kasselakis to Sinai Monastery – Request for Transparency on Greek Egyptian conversations

To find out about the situation in the historic monastic center

To Egypt lies the president of the Republic Movement, Stefanos Kasselakis, visiting the Sinai Monastery.

According to the announcement, the purpose of the visit is to provide immediate information on the situation in the historic monastic center and what has been seen in the light of publicity lately.

In his statements to the Alpha television station, while in Sinai, Mr Kasselakis pointed out the need for complete transparency around Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fathah al-Sisi.

“There is justified concern in Greek society as to whether the government is telling the whole truth. It is necessary to immediately release all relevant documents from both the Greek and the Egyptian side. The Greek people have the right to know exactly what was discussed and what was agreed, “he said.

“The Democracy Movement is monitoring developments with seriousness and will be institutionally and documented as soon as the president’s mission to Sinai is completed,” the statement concludes.
