By the decision of the President and the Standing MP of NIKIS, activating Article 9.4 of the Articles of Association, which refers to the loss of a member of a member of persons who have been subject to important misconduct, a member of the Democratic Patriotic Movement “Nikou” is temporarily suspended. The approval of the final crisis on the sentence is maintained by the Ethics Committee, in which the MP will be immediately invited to apologize.
According to Article 6.2 of the Articles of Association: “Every MP or MEP of NIKIS must respect the regulation of the CA, the principles and objectives of the movement and abstain from disruptive actions or variations on issues for which a decision has already been made by the organs of the movement.” Recently, Mr. Papadopoulos had taken several disruptive actions, and had differentiated important decisions of the parliamentary group. In addition, in violation of Article 9.1 of the Articles of Association, Mr. Papadopoulos, both in internal groups of the movement and publicly attacked slander and inappropriate characterizations to the president and members of the MP, while not accepting the Conference, Statute and Elected Bodies.
Finally, since Article 6.2, it is noted that: “The MP recognizes the substantive assistance of the movement in order to be elected and committed in the event of its deletion by the movement due to violating its statutory obligations or principles of NIKI to place its seat at the disposal of the movement”, We expect Mr. Papadopoulos to hand over his headquarters to the movement, which he was elected in particular after his placement as the first in the June 2023 elections.
