USA: Trump’s government is considering a great deal of duties in China

Trump government is thinking of reducing their duties to imports of products from China In an attempt to degrade the tensions, Wall Street Journal said today (23.4.2025).

Duties in China are likely to decline between 50% and 65%, the US newspaper said, citing a White House official.

According to Reuters, the US Presidency will examine the reduction of tariffs on imported Chinese products pending talks with Beijing. Any move will be made in conjunction with the negotiations and will not be unilaterally.

Yesterday, US President Donald Trump announced a “significant” reduction in the duties it has imposed on China.
