At least three people were killed today (18.07.2025), after explosion In the sheriff’s training field in Los Angelesin the US.
A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said the explosion occurred at the Biskaailouz Training Academy in East Los Angeles, and said that the causes were still under investigation.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the three victims were police officers and the explosion occurred as a group of firefighters moved explosives.
Justice Minister Pam Bodi, in a post on the X platform, spoke of a “horrible event” confirming that the dead were “at least three”. He added that FBI agents have rushed to the spot to investigate the causes.
California Governor Gavin Newsom was also informed of the incident.

The helicopter shots broadcast by the local KTLA television channel shows a man wearing the special firefighters’ uniform moving near a truck that may contain explosives and security forces have covered it with a large awning.
“The thoughts of everyone” of Los Angeles residents “turn to those affected by this explosion,” Mayor Karen Bass wrote on the X platform, saying that researchers “experts in arson” and a “firefighter group” are on site.
According to Lat, many accidents have occurred in recent years during Los Angeles police training.
At least 4 fires occurred in trailers where police officers have been trained in firearms in the last 12 years.
