Great fire occurred on Friday morning (03.10.2025) to refinery of Chevron in El Segundo, near to Los Angeles.
The fire at the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo, in Los Angeles County, in California quickly took on.
The Fire Department arrived immediately with the mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bas, stressing that “there is no information at this time that the fire affects the lax”, referring to the city’s international airport.
According to US media, many explosions were reported and strong police and firefighters rushed to the spot, while the refinery has its own Fire Service. The causes of the fire are not clear, as the Los Angeles Times report.

After hours, Los Angeles authorities announced that the fire was under control, there are no reports of injuries and “there is no reason to worry” for the surrounding area. Authorities also monitor air quality and advise residents to stay in his homes

This refinery produces 290,000 barrels a day and its main products are gasoline, gas and diesel fuels, according to Chevron’s website. It is capable of storing 12.5 million barrels in about 150 large tanks.
