THE Donald Trumpthrough spokeswoman Caroline Levitt, said Wednesday (11/12/2025) that he hopes to sign the budget bill “in the next few hours” that would allow the federal government to reopen on USAwhich remains closed since October 1st due to the shutdown.
“President Trump is ready to put an end to this disaster shutdown caused by the Democrats, signing the law as soon as possible. We hope that will happen tonight,” Levitt told reporters in the US.
This signing will mark the end of an unprecedented political and administrative crisis that has left hundreds of thousands of public employees without pay and paralyzed many public services across the United States.
The bill, which has already been approved by the Senate, is expected to be put to a vote on Wednesday night in the House of Representatives at around 19:00 (02:00 Thursday morning, Greek time). It provides for an extension of the current budget until the end of January, giving Congress time to reach a firmer deal.
