Alarm rang on Thursday (08.08.2025) at the beginning of Missouri and Illinois, after information on falling helicopter on the river Mississippinear West Alton area. The news was reported by Fox2 News, while video on social media shows dense black smoke rising by the river shortly after the crash.
According to first reports, the helicopter hit high voltage cables above Mississippi and then fell on a barge, which was wrapped in flames from the collision.
Local authorities and emergency forces have rushed to the area, but no injuries or victims have yet been announced.
