US – Russia: New Round of Talks in Constantinople on April 10

A new round of consultations between the Russia and USA It will take place on April 10, 2025 at the Russian Consulate in Istanbul, which announced the State Department.

Earlier today (08.04.2025), the Russian State News Agency TASS reported that delegations from Russia and the US will meet for consultations in Constantinople in the coming days, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The leader of the Russian delegation will be Alexander Darchiev, who was recently appointed as a Russian ambassador to the US, while the US delegation will be run by Deputy Foreign Minister Sonata Coulter, TASS reported.

In February, Russian and US delegations held talks in Constantinople to try to restore the normal operation of their embassies.

Both delegations will only consist of diplomats and talks will focus on normalizing the work of the diplomatic missions of both countries, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

American and Russian officials also met in the Saudi capital of Saudi Arabia in February to discuss the end of the war in Ukraine.
