Ukraine’s plans to develop unmanned aircraft exports and the extension of technological cooperation were presented today (25.9.2025) by the President Volontim Zelenskiduring a meeting with top executives of large American businesses.
Ukraine weapons exports have been limited since Russia invaded in February 2022, as all defense industry products were channeled into the national defense effort. “Our country has a strong industry of manufacturing unmanned aircraft and more than 300 technology companies. I think this is a new direction for our businesses and the economy in the future, “said Zelenski as stated in the announcement.
“I think this year we will open the exports of our new technologies only for those countries in which we can rely,” he added.
Zelesnki met with representatives of Amazon, Bank of America, Chemours, Citi, Crh, Fairfax, GE Vernova, Hogan Lovells, Jacobs, Jpmorgan Chase, Lazard, Logistics Plus, Marsh McLenan, Techmet and Westinghouse, as stated in Announcement of his office.
Some of the companies are already attempting or investing in Ukraine. Zelesnki said Kiev is ready to launch new areas of cooperation and investment.
Drones production in Ukraine is upgraded
Ukraine’s domestic weapons production and especially drones production has increased massively during the war, with hundreds of companies producing millions of drones tested on the battlefield.
Zelesnki said Ukraine plans to create export platforms in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As the government seeks to support its economy -destroyed economy, Kiev wishes to boost its links with the US and has attracted US companies with possible investment opportunities.
