OR Russia claimed that Ukrainian military forces launched this morning (11.12.2024) six ballistic missiles type ATACMS against a Russian military airfield in the city of Taganrog, Rostov Region, while related footage has been published on social media.
In the announcement issued by Russia, it emphasizes that the American-made ballistic missiles were intercepted, however, their fragments and debris caused material damage in the area, while it pledged to proceed with retaliation.
In particular, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported: “There was no damage, two buildings in the technical department of the airport and three military vehicles, as well as civilian cars in the parking lot next to the airport were slightly damaged (by shrapnel). This attack by western long-range weapons will not go unanswered and appropriate measures will be taken».

At the same time, an American official stated today that Moscow could launch another experimental Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile against Ukraine in the coming daysbut he added that the US does not consider this particular ballistic missile as a “game changer”, i.e. able to change the facts in the course of the war.
