New elements come to the light of publicity that reveal how many Russians military have been killed in Ukrainefollowing a survey published by the Russian BBC service in collaboration with the Russian Mediazona website and a volunteer team.
In particular, more than 108.00 Russian soldiers have lost their lives since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The media managed through investigations to identify the names of 108,608 Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine. More than 5,000 are officers, including 10 generals and 524 with the rank of Colonel and Lieutenant Colonel.
The most serious blow to the Russian army was the casualties among the new officers. In the first year of the war, one in five dead had the rank of captain or lieutenant.

16% of all the dead were identified were prisoners who went to the front by penitentiary institutions. 12% of the dead were recruited. At least 52% of all the dead were people who had nothing to do with the Russian army When the war started.
