Turkish mafia: Cash, guns and watches – They are spreading their tentacles in Athens and Thessaloniki

In the targeted police operations to “root out” the Turkish mafia in Athens and Thessaloniki, 8 Turkish nationals were arrested for violating the laws on weapons and drugs.

30 people were brought in, of which 27 were Turkish nationals.

50 fully functional pistols were seized, of which 48 had a threaded barrel for a silencer socket (Threadedbarrel).

In particular, after utilizing information and after intensive investigations, eraids were carried out on six houses in the center of Athens, on a roof in Patisiaand in Nice.

As a result, the eight Turks were arrested and indictments were filed against them for violating the laws on weapons and drugs.

As part of the investigations carried out, in the presence of a judicial officer, the following were found and seized:

* 50 pistols, fully functional, of which 48 had a threaded barrel for a silencer socket (Threadedbarrel),

* 1.7 kg of Indian hemp,

* 38 cartridges of 9mm,

* 12 watches and SIM cards and telephone devices.

In addition, there were raids on shops in Attica, from where 27 foreigners were brought, of which 25 Turks, one Syrian, one Bulgarian, as well as one Greek.

In Thessaloniki, police officers from the Organized Crime Directorate of Northern Greece conducted searches in six houses, where tablets and telephone connection packages were found and confiscated, while two Turkish nationals were brought in.

All eight Turks arrested, with the files filed against them, will be brought to the competent prosecution authority.

It is recalled that last Monday (09.12.24) the mafia execution took place in Glyfada, with the perpetrators being two Turks.
