The pro -Kurdish party of the Republic and Equality of Peoples (DEM) today called for the Turkish Parliament to pave the way for a new peacekeeping process in the Turkeyby adopting legislation that will support his disarmament PKK.
PKK declared a truce in Turkey in March 2025, following the historic appeal of the prisoner since 1999, his leader Abdullah Ocalan for deposit of arms and dissolution her Organization.

Speaking to the Turkish Parliament, DEM’s co -chairman Tulai Hatimogulari said that The peace solution can only be achieved if allowed to Ocalan to communicate with the outside world and with the Establishment of a preparatory framework.
“How can this preparatory framework be established? Securing Mr Ocalan the freedom to work and to communicate. Allowing parliament to pass a law that will facilitate the disarmament process of the PKK, “he said.
«If we take these steps as a first move, all Turkey will breathe with relief“, He added.
DEM announced last week that A meeting with Erdogan took place in “constructive and promising atmosphere”at a rare moment of dialogue between the two sides.
The PKK, which has been designated a terrorist organization by Turkey and many Western countries, expected to vote for disarmament and dissolution of his conference proposed to conducted him next month.
