The Republican People’s Party (CHP), the opposition party, from which Imamoglou comes from, is calling on dozens of Turkish companies and organizations since last week in a boycott to put pressure on it.
Imamoglou, Mr opponent of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was arrested on March 19 and was detained four days later on the charge of “corruption”, a denial.
His arrest triggered a protest movement across the country, the largest after that of Guez in 2013.
