In developmental measure prepared their announcement in TIFHomer Tsapalos, a spokesman for the Treasury, referred to Ertnews.
Referring to the expected announcements of the Prime Minister at the TIF on the new measures, Mr Tsapalos said: “I will try to give you an outline of the Prime Minister’s announcements at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition, which I think is reflected in the spirit of the interventions.
It is those, that is, our fellow citizens, who have lifted the greatest burden of the crisis and the Memorandums, but also an important part of the recovery of the Greek economy. And it’s time, after our country’s budgetary data allows us to return to them an important part of the progress that has been made in recent years.
In this regard, the measures to be announced will be a developmental nature. It will not be a guild’s logic to satisfy the demands of one or the other social or professional group. The goal is to be able to meet the needs and to be able to reduce taxes as many of our fellow citizens as possible and in a permanent and timeless way. “
Regarding taxation, he said: “For a permanent essentially we are talking about tax burdens that comes in combination with all 70 taxes that have been reduced – abolished in recent years. There are various ideas and scenarios that the financial staff is working throughout these months. Obviously very high on the agenda are some of them, such as seeing what can be done on the scale, on direct tax scales.
In recent years, due to growth, salaries have increased in our country and the minimum and average salary, resulting in thousands of hundreds of thousands of employees basically seen growing, rising and salary and tax scales, in addition to payroll. We need to see essentially how these scales will be rationalized, harmonized with modern data so that these people can have greater benefit in their pocket.
Because if you change the direct tax scales every month, the employee will see a lesser tax withholding on his salary, so he will see an increase in the money he receives every end of the month. It is therefore one of the scenarios that the financial staff has been processing quite systematically in recent months. Another scenario has to do with the reform of living evidence.
We have said and pre -election we have said as New Democracy, that the government’s agenda is on the agenda by 30% we have said by 2027. Let’s see whether this can happen earlier and of course it is the part of employer contributions.
Whether we can further reduce the non -wage burden, so that we can further enhance the recruitment of new employees, namely the reduction of unemployment. I recall that five and a half units have been reduced by insurance contributions and we want to see whether they can be further reduced. “
On the subject of accuracy, Mr Tsapalos stressed that: “No one denies that accuracy is the number one issue of the Greek household. It is the decisive element, which has been shaking an important part of both the growth and reinforcement of income in recent years. No one, I think, is disputed that this problem is a problem in recent years, pan -European, worldwide I would say, but mainly affects European economies, and especially those that are growing, such as the Greek economy.
So I have to tell you that in recent years, since 2019, the average salary in Greece has increased 28.3%. The minimum wage of 35% and cumulative inflation, the consumer price index, from 19 to 25, had a cumulative increase of 18%. Was the problem of accuracy solved because we had a higher rate of wage growth than inflation rate?
Obviously and not. Obviously we are not at the point of saying that we had higher salaries, so we solved the issue. Under no circumstances is a strong response to inflationary pressures.
The question is from now on how we can reduce further tax burdens and further intensify our efforts to increase wages, to further reduce the negative impact of inflation. The prime minister will have in his speech permanent reduction of taxes indirectly contributing to further reinforcement of income.
And of course our medium -term goal for a minimum of 950 and for average salary at 1,500 by 2027 remains in full and this is already being done as the minimum has reached 880 and the average salary has reached 1,350 based on the recent data I had at my disposal.
Therefore, the goal remains. The spirit of the TIF will be in this direction, I say the key word, developmental measures not guerrilla logic. Just to deal with further inflationary pressures, but also to return to these citizens who are entitled to their efforts and their sacrifices in previous years. “
On the problem of the housing crisis, he said: “There will be measures for the housing crisis. Unfortunately, I cannot expand, what I can tell you is that exactly by responding to one of the main problems of Greek society, such as the housing issue, the prime minister will announce further measures to address this issue, coupled with the 40s and more measures to deal with the housing that has already been housed.
On the issue of intensive checks on beaches using drones and high fines on offenders, Mr Tsapalos said: “It is an issue with which the Treasury is dealing with every summer, as the issue of protecting public property, seaside and beach from unjustly by the ministry.
So here is the following. So far this year and because of the Mycoast application that has resolved their hands on the real estate services and has made our allies the citizens themselves, around 11,500 citizens’ complaints have been submitted for illegal seashore beach, lack of measures to protect bathing by businessmen operating on the beach.
In relation to the corresponding period last year, the complaints are half. Last year we had about twice as many complaints, which means that things are much more organized this year. I think that those who have managed, our fellow citizens to leave for a few days and to visit some of the Greek islands or the mainland have found the progress that has been made lately.
To this, again, the citizen contributed primarily and the stricter institutional framework, but also the fact that for the first time this year all the electronic auctions were carried out electronically, with what this implies for the solvency of the businessmen who submitted their proposals and seriousness.
Because, you know, all previous years, the way these licenses were given I don’t think it honored public administration. There were cases where they were “inflatable” to the municipal councils and with the closure of the eye, they were blackmailed the concession of a seashore and beach grant so that they could exploit it for their own purposes. They ended in the country and in this part, it closed a black public administration hole that has plagued us for years.
