Excited the Donald Trump Following his proposal Vladimir Putin For immediate negotiations in Ukraine, writing on a post on social media that it may be a great day.
Donald Trump assured that he intends to “continue working with both sides” in order to end the war in Ukraine. “Possibly a great day for Russia and Ukraine!” Trump wrote on Truth Social without specifying whether he refers to Putin’s proposal or at ultimatum of Europeans to Russia.
He added: “Think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that will be saved by the finish, let’s hope, this endless ‘blood bath’. (…) I will continue to work with both sides to ensure that this is happening.”
At the same time, the US president said “very proud” of the fact that India and Pakistan have agreed to suspend hostilities and announced that the US would increase their trade with the two opposing countries.
“I am very proud of the powerful and steadfast dynamic leadership of India and Pakistan who had the power (…) to understand that it is time to end the conflicts that could lead to so many dead and disasters,” he said in Truth Social.
Trump also pledged to “significantly increase trade with these two big states”.
Macron: First Movement but is not enough
The “immediate” negotiations proposed by Vladimir Putin between Russia and Ukraine, in response to the “unconditional” truce demanding Kiev and his allies, are “a first move, but not enough,” French President Emmanuel replied.
“There are no negotiations, by definition of unconditional truce,” Macron told reporters after getting off the train to Pohemis, Poland, returning from Kiev.
He estimated that this counter -proposal shows that Putin “is looking for a path, but always wants to save time”.
