Trump Presidency is an opportunity for greater federation of the European Union says Adonis Georgiadis

H Trump presidency will be beneficial to the whole planet and the Greecewhile it will lead the European Union In greater federation, the vice -president points out New Democracy and Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis.

In an interview hosted in his Turning Points tribute Euro2day.gr with them New York Times, in which Greeks and foreign prominent politicians, scientists, but also people of economics, businesses and spirit, take place on burning issues of a rapidly changing world, o Adonis Georgiadis It is opposed to Turkey’s entry into the EU, considers that Europe will deny those who bet on its disintegration and characterizes the woke agenda “exaggeration of diversity”.

The columnists of the Greek -centered part of the tribute describe the challenges and opportunities brought by international rearrangements: what will mean geopolitical instability for the country, the possible change of attitude USA in the area and the Target Wars? How does politics change and why is the western world more right?

For Trump Presidency, Mr. Georgiadesf He says, among other things: ‘I firmly believe that the re -election of President Trump happened mainly for the following reasons: First, because of the woke agenda, which had really “crazy” society in America and had done them Democratic To imagine many people in the eyes of many people completely out of reality. Second, because of its major issue migrationfor which the previous government seemed not to pay the due attention sought by American citizens. And, third, because the whole planet goes right. I am absolutely sure, despite the concern of many, that President Trump’s term will be for the benefit of Greek -American relations and the benefit of the planet in general. “

For the consequences of the Trump Presidency in the EU Mr Georgiadis says: “America, which is internationally involved in everything, is a creation of Pearl Harbor and World War II. Until then, America was deeply isolated and this side of America has always existed, it was simply not the dominant one. Now with President Trump may have taken the upper hand. But how this will affect the world is a different debate.

In my opinion, a America that will retreat from international issues may be the reason for Europe to be more federal and what is done with defense spending is such a fact. So how will Europe of Europe survive if they have no closer cooperation between them if America begins to retreat? Consequently, in the coming years they will be very interesting. However, those who once again bet on the dissolution of Europe will once again be lost. “

The whole interview Mr. Georgiadis is as follows:

– People have been living in Donald Trump in recent months. What are the causes of his re -election and the wider political consequences of the internationally? How does it affect the traditional in Europe and Greece Tripolo between the Left – Center – Right?

First of all, I wish good luck to the new US president. Going well America is good for the whole planet. After all, America, regardless of the President and the Government – these are issues inside American citizens – remains Greece’s greatest ally and will remain.

I firmly believe that the re -election of President Trump happened mainly for the following reasons: first, because of the woke agenda, which had really “crazy” society in America and had made the Democrats imagine many people completely out of reality. Secondly, due to the major issue of immigration, for which the previous government seemed not to pay the due attention sought by American citizens. And, third, because the whole planet goes right. I am absolutely sure, despite the concern of many, that President Trump’s term will be for the benefit of Greek -American relations and the benefit of the globe in general.

– You have been in favor of some traditionally powerful concepts over time, but for a long time, however, they were politically very conservative. I am referring to national identity and tradition, even issues of religion. Do you think such issues are coming back to the forefront, not only in the US but also in Europe? Do you see a genuine shift of society towards the so -called “traditional values” and why?

It is completely certain that traditional values have come to the fore. President Trump has put them in the forefront of politics on all fronts and yes, they are ideas that I have always defended. They are the values that make me political and as a human being and which I always respect and respect.

I have said many times that a tree must have roots and a human being, in order to have a future, must respect his past. It cannot be done otherwise. Societies need fixed anchors.

Religion is an integral part of our national identity. We cannot constantly underestimate it. Europe has made mistakes and they pay these mistakes. See, for example, how easily Islam penetrates European societies while Christianity recedes.

– Some argue that the anti-Woke movement promoted by Trump may lead to individual rights restrictions and marginalization of diversity. You were surprised enough to defend the issue of marriage between homosexual couples. In your opinion what is the balance point on such sensitive issues?

Gay marriage is not part of the woke agenda. President Trump supports homosexual marriage. There is, in fact, a related video by Ms Trump from the previous election. Nor has he ever said that he will abolish homosexual marriage in America. And his finance minister is married to a man and have adopted children. So let’s leave the wedding out of the woke agenda. It’s another thing.

The Woke Agenda is the exaggeration of the concept of “diversity”, gender liquidity, which has led to things that are unthinkable to the human mind and there had to be a reaction. It didn’t happen. I really wonder how experienced politicians in the US Democratic Party did not realize that this would lead them to destruction.

I do not worry that the US will become a country that will not respect human rights. It is not the Woke Agenda in favor of human rights. The woke agenda is a madness. Concerns about human rights abuse in America are in fact derived from President Trump’s political opponents. America is a democracy and remains democracy.

– There is a sense abroad that the tension observed in relations between European leaderships and Trump administration is essentially a battle between “globalists” and “nationalists”, which can affect the position of the West as a whole. What is your opinion?

The question is interesting and it is interesting why, even if we consider President Trump’s continuation of a traditional line in American politics that was isolationism, it is not President Trump, the first president of America to express it. The traditional line of America was isolationism.

America, which is internationally involved in is a creation of Pearl Harbor and World War II.

However, those who once again bet on the dissolution of Europe will once again be defeated.

– In any case, it seems that there is a disposition in Europe to acquire some kind of partial autonomy and self -sufficiency, against third parties, even in the defense sector. What do you think Greece’s conditions and position in this process, given the well -known situation with Turkey?

Europe must gain autonomy not only in the defense sector but also in other critical areas, such as e.g. the drugs. And I speak as Minister of Health. The Covid period has shown how dangerous it is for Europe to introduce all critical raw materials and all critical things for human living from other countries, mainly from Asia. It’s wrong. So yes, Europe has to find a way to have more autonomy and of course in the defense much greater. In this sense, recent decisions are very good and the exception of Turkey is also a decision in the right direction.

Because Turkey is not a member of the European Union, nor do I personally believe that it will not be able to. Consequently, yes, we have good relations with Turkey, but a country such as Turkey, which owns European territory, Cyprus, and threatening with casus belli other European country, Greece, wanting to be a key part of Europe’s defense. The conqueror cannot be the defense of the space he has conquered.

As close as our cooperation in the defense and foreign policy as possible, Europe should sometimes deal with it. No one will take the European Union seriously as long as it does not see that a third country, in this case Turkey, owns European territory.

At some point Europe itself should decide whether it wants to defend its own sovereign rights. The sovereign rights of Greece and Cyprus are not only sovereign rights of these two countries. It is the sovereign rights of the European Union and their violation by Turkey does not only violate the sovereign rights of Greece and Cyprus, it violates sovereign rights of the European Union. As our cooperation grows, they will become increasingly clearly.
