“I live in New York but I’m trying to leave, I don’t want to live in a communist regime,” said Donald Trump in a speech at the “American Business Forum” in Miami, visibly bitter since the electoral victory of the Democratic candidate, Zohran Mamdani.
The US President even told his enthusiastic audience: “Remember when I said that a socialist would never be elected to any office in our country? I used to say that … we skipped the socialists and put the communists in their place.”
Because, as he also said, “communism has not succeeded anywhere, look back 1,000 years. If it worked properly we would use it.”
“Communists, Marxist socialists and globalists have had their chance and brought nothing but disaster. Now let’s see how a communist will do in New York,” he asked.
The remarks come after Trump warned before the election that he could cut funding to his hometown “to the bare minimum” if Mamdani prevailed.

Trump, continuing his attack, said: “Look at what is happening in different parts of the world – but now the Democrats are so extreme that Miami will become the haven for those escaping from the communism of New York.”
