His decision to cut the maids that stands in the garden outside the White House was announced by Donald Trump. The historic tree was planted by Andrew Jackson, who served US president From 1829 to 1837.
In a post on “Truth Social”, US President Donald Trump said he is working with “wonderful people in the National Parks Service” to make “enormous improvements to the White House, keeping and protecting the story!”
“One of the interesting dilemmas is a tree planted many years ago by the legendary President and General, Andrew Jackson,” Trump described. “It’s Magnolia, who came from his house, Hermitage, in Tennessee. These are the good news! “
“The bad news is that everything has to end, and this tree is in terrible condition, a very high risk of security, at the entrance of the White House, no less, and now has to be removed,” he continued.
The historic tree will be cut in the next few days and Trump wrote that he would be replaced “by another, very beautiful tree”.
“Historical wood from the tree will be maintained by White House staff and can be used for other high and noble purposes !!!” the president added.
Jackson, who served as US president from 1829 to 1837, allegedly planted two manolies near the White House in memory of his wife, Rachel, who died in 1828.
“Historical photographic documentation shows that the Manolies first appeared in this location near the southern arcade in the 1860s, but the trees were attributed to President Jackson,” the agency explained.
“In 2006, the trees were described as trees witnesses by the National Park Service, having witnessed many ‘important historical and cultural events,’ NPS described. “The base of the trees also accepted the burden of a Cessna plane targeting the White House in September 1994 and underwent a significant removal of branches and pruning in December 2017.”
The initial reactions to Trump’s announcement were mixed on social media, although the president’s supporters largely supported the decision.
“I am an expert in trees in the profession, I have worked with trees for three decades … these trees [μανόλιες] They have extremely soft wood that can become dry and fragile with age, “wrote an X user (formerly twitter). “I wouldn’t be anywhere close to this thing.”
“Be prepared for the Left to treat it like World War I,” another jokes.
“He’s trying to get rid of and rewrite or destroy the story!” Wrote a Trump critic and another US president’s warrior commented even more sharply: “The tree is much more important than Trump will ever be!”
