New “shots” against Harvard unleashed the Donald Trump. The US president is escalating the dispute with high -profile university, accusing today (24.04.2025) of being an “anti -Semitic institution of the far -left” and a “threat to democracy”.
In a message on the social networking platform “Truth Social”, Donald Trump wrote about Harvard: “This place is a progressive mess” and “accepts students from all over the world who want to destroy our country.”
It is recalled that yesterday, the US president signed a series of decrees aimed at further stepping pressure on US universities.
In today’s message, Trump calls for the “dismissal” of a lawyer working for his company, “Trump Organization” and at the same time representing Harvard.
“Not at all good anyway and I hope that my very big and wonderful company, which my sons run, will get rid of him immediately,” says the billionaire.
Donald Trump did not mention a person name, but it must be William Burkk, a highly reputable lawyer in the Republican circles, who is an adviser to Trump Organization, who commissioned Harvard to defend the university.
Harvard turned on April 21 against the Trump government for the “freeze” of federal grants, which was decided, as the famous university refused to obey a series of White House claims.
The US president, who accuses universities of being challenged by progressive forces, wants to have an opinion on student admission procedures, teachers’ recruitment and curricula.
