The tragic end had the afternoon bath for an Israeli tourist who was dragged by waves and currents and drowned to beach at Pelion.
The drowning incident occurred around 5pm on Thursday (10.07.2025), on the beach of Saints Saranda in Pelion, “freezing” the rest of the bathers, as well as the patrons and employees of summer stores located in the area.
According to taxydromos.gr, the strong winds prevailing yesterday in the Aegean “raised” a red flag on the beach. Despite the prohibition due to weather, however, the Israeli visitor decided to dive.
Just 10 minutes later his friend began looking for him as he was “lost” from his field of vision. A few minutes later the sea washed out on the rocks.
