Nine people found a tragic death when, on Sunday night (13.07.2025), erupted fire to a nursing home in Massachusetts of the US. At least 30 older people were injured.
The fire broke out from an unknown reason so far at Gabriel House, in Oliver Street in Fol River, Massachusetts, around 21.50 on Sunday night. Firefighters who arrived at the spot said they saw “dense smoke and flames” on the front of the building.
The 70 elderly people staying in the nursing home were trapped in the fiery hell. 12 of them, who had serious mobility problems, were rescued by the firefighters, transporting them out of the burning building.
As Jeffrey Bacon, the head of the Follower River Fire Service, said in southeast Massachusetts, “nine people died in the building last night. A man is in critical condition and we have been transferred (in hospitals) at least 30 more. “

Five firefighters were slightly injured during the attempt to extinguish and their lives are not at risk.
The causes of the fire remain unknown.
