Traffic “safari” on school buses – dozens of violations

The “microscope” of the Traffic Police have entered school buses across the country with the start of the new school year, with checks revealing a significant number of violations.

In total, they were carried out 1.702 checks and confirmed 203 violationshighlighting security issues in students’ movements.

The operation of the Greek Police, which took place today, Thursday, September 11, brought to light violations on both the state of the vehicles and the behavior of the drivers.

The most common violations were:

  • Tachograph: 54 offenses
  • Speed ​​limit: 30 violations
  • Failure to maintain a driver’s working hours: 21 violations
  • Non -use of Security Belt: 14 violations
  • Lack of Technical Control (KTEO): 10 violations
  • Lack of a pharmacy or fire extinguisher: 13 violations
  • Damaged tires: 1 offense
  • Other offenses: 55
