Traffic regulations came into effect from 06:00 in the morning in the center of Athensdue to the Armed Forces Day celebration. The arrangements will be in effect until the end of the events, inclusive no stopping and parking as well as temporary – gradual traffic interruptions.
Which roads will be closed:
Metropolis: along its entire length and up to the first parallel street, including all verticals.
Aeolos: from Andrianou to Ermou.
Hermou: from Aeolos to Athena, with restrictions from 11:20 until the end of the events.
Vasilissis Amalias: along its entire length with a complete ban on stopping and parking, as well as gradual traffic interruptions.
Syngrou Avenue: from Athanasios Diakos to Dionysios Areopagitou.
Athanasios Diakos: downstream towards Amalias.
The Traffic Police calls on drivers to avoid traveling in the center, as “inseparability is expected to prevail”.
It is noted that the celebration of the Armed Forces coincides with the great religious holiday of Entrances of the Theotokos (November 21), which is also a day of honor for the Armed Forces.
