OR Chalcidice is dynamically targeting two new markets, the Poland and the Scandinavialeveraging new partnerships and direct flights towards Thessaloniki. The main goal is expansion of the tourist season and the delivery of experiences that go beyond the traditional model “sun and sea”.
Her market Poland is considered particularly dynamic, with steady growth in recent years. THE Tourist Organization of Halkidiki participated last week in a special event at Warsaw (CONNECT on Tour|Warsaw), where he presented the destination to Polish tour operators.
The President of the Organization, Grigoris Tasiosexpressed his satisfaction, as this year, in addition to the existing partnerships (Rainbow Tours, Grecos), the TUI Poland includes for first time Halkidiki in its programs. TUI will launch one weekly direct flighta development that, according to Mr. Tassios, confirms the destination’s dynamics.
At the same time, Scandinavia is now treated as new strategic market. On October 23, the Organization participated in the Greek Tourism Workshop in Copenhagenwhere he held B2B meetings with tourism professionals from Denmark.
This openness is supported in practice, as by March 3, 2025h SAS is launching new direct flights that will connect it Copenhagen with Thessaloniki. The routes will start initially three times a week and will increase to five during the summer season.
As Mr. Tassios noted, the Nordic market is about one “high-demand audience” who seeks “authentic experiences, nature and local cuisine“, elements that Halkidiki aims to project.
