A letter to the President and the members of the Commission were sent by the New Democracy MP.
The New Democracy MP Christos Triantopoulos, following the first meeting of the Special Parliamentary Committee for a preliminary examination on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, submitted a letter to President Panagis Kappatos, with whom he had the judgment of the Commission to seek out the Wish
Specifically, Mr. Christos Triantopoulos’s letter states:
‘Honorable Mr President and Members of the Commission,
As you know, after the House debate in the House of Representatives, your committee was set up, which must consider the integrity and impartiality attributed to me, as defined by PASOK’s proposal, a proposal that voted for, at my own purpose, to the majority of the majority, so that the majority of the duty.
As I said from the beginning, I am absolutely innocent of what this proposal attributes to me, something that emerges from an elementary – but not cool – overview of PASOK’s proposal, and for that time, and I was the first to ask for the investigation of the case.
Unfortunately, it is obvious that we are spent on a period of extreme political polarization where, in my opinion, a tragic accident that shocked the Panhellenic has been toolted by the opposition, to postpone temporary political benefits.
Under these circumstances, I am afraid that any finding that your committee issues will be the subject of intense questioning and controversy, which will fatal me in the rest of my public and private life. And my integrity, in the eyes of my fellow citizens, is something that is not, for me at least, negotiable.
So, because you would not want your judgment, in my case, to be construed as possible in the political and party identity of your committee members, my desire is, as paradoxical, and if this can be first seen, judged by the Registrar and the Protestants, impartiality, but also increased knowledge and prestige.
From the first moment of my involvement in politics, I consider strong and follow it, that the attitude, course and choices of a politician must be an example of society and the homeland we want to have for our children and future generations.
I repeat that I have nothing to hide, nor to be scared. I have complete faith in my innocence and blind confidence in justice, which I wish to judge me directly, as I ask you to do so, making a decision. “
