Three Greek footballers on the list of candidates for the Golden Boy of 2025

For the first time in the history of the institution for the Golden Boythree Greek footballers are included in the list of the top 100 players under the age of 21 published by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport each year.

Christos Mouzakitis, Charalambos Kostoulas (both Olympiacos) and Konstantinos Karetsas (Genk) are among the greatest talents of world football, in the Golden Boy list for 2025, which traditionally attracts the gaze of Europe.

This is an important recognition for Greek football, which for the first time sees three representatives claiming a position among the best young people on the planet. The Golden Boy Award is awarded every year to the top young footballer (under 21), with older winners such as Messi, Ebabe, Haland and Pedri.

Mouzakitis and Kostoulas, basic executives of the “new generation” of Olympiacos, have already caught their eyes with their appearances in Greece and Europe, while Karetsas is considered a “miracle child” in Belgium, with excellent prospects and already important performances with Genk’s jersey.

The final vote for the Golden Boy 2025 will be conducted by journalists of leading European media, while the public vote on the Tuttosport website is also running.
