Success was crowned the long time transplant Liver at 19 -year -old, from the Transplantation Team at Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki. The instrument was donated by the parents of the 12 -year -old boy who lost his life on the river Arachi.
The 19 -year -old recipient, who suffered from chronic liver disease, received the 12 -year -old liver from Arachiwith the transplant process successfully completed around 8:30 on Tuesday night (176.06.2025).
“The 19 -year -old’s image is good, though only two hours have passed since the surgery,” Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, director of Hippocrates clinical transplants, George Tsoulfas, told RES – EIA.
