Alarm rang on Thursday noon in Whitewash Thessaloniki, when, for an unknown reason so far, a gas bottle exploded in a room for renting rooms.
The incident happened around 3:00 noon. The result of the strong explosion was the injury of five Serbian tourists living in the accommodation.
Immediately at the spot, EKAB ambulances rushed to the Maditos Health Center to provide first aid. According to first reports, a 41 -year -old man (born 1984) has more serious burns than the other four injured.
The Fire Department was also mobilized for the incident, which rushed to the area with a force of six firefighters and two vehicles. Unconfirmed information broadcast by Radio Thessaloniki says firefighters have taken the gas bottle intact from home.
It is alleged that the explosion caused a leak, in combination with a spark.
