The well-known messaging – and calling – application, Viber, announced a new set of features that will allow users to easily find the most important messages in a business conversation and respond to any of them when contacting a company.
Pin on top
In particular, as mentioned in a relevant announcement, Viber has extended the “pin at the top” function: In order not to lose some important information in the conversation, users can now pin a selected message to the top of a business conversation, or use the other recently introduced feature, that is, pinning the entire conversation to the top of their chat list (as with a regular chat with friends).
With the “pin on top” function any important message will remain in an easily accessible place – for example, a customer arranging tests at a microbiology lab or booking a hotel can have direct access to that message containing information about his appointment or for his reservation.
They respond to the messages they choose
In addition to the above, users can now reply to the messages they choose in a business conversation, which allows them to more easily follow the flow of the conversation. For example, in an active chat with a multi-order store, the customer can now respond to a specific message to be sure that there will be no confusion with another order.
According to statistics, 56% of users prefer to send messages to companies rather than calling them by phone.
Viber recently announced other file, photo and video sharing features, allowing users to send files up to 200 MB in size to businesses. This allows companies to build a more convenient and meaningful communication with users, offering them the service they need. All files shared between businesses and users are protected from in-transit encryption.
