A sector decades ago started by a strategic investment in the state and today includes 3,000 companies, directly or indirectly employed by 30,000 employees, covering the whole process from bauxite mining to internationally certified finished products. An extrovert, dynamic industry that represents Greece in more than 50 countries and is a model of creative entrepreneurship. “

Referring to the challenges facing the industry, such as high energy costs and unfair competition, Mr Theodorikakos pointed out: “As a Ministry of Development and as a government we stand by the industry, supporting innovation, reducing energy costs and protection. The Initiatives of the New Development Law
In this context, the Minister of Development made special reference to the initiatives of the new development law: “Through the new development law we substantially strengthen processing and large investments, with two separate regimes, with a budget of € 150 million each. At the same time, we are essentially reforming national quality policy, enhancing the accreditation and certification system for products and services, which is a guarantee of competitiveness and credibility of the Greek industry. “
Finally, the Minister of Development emphasized the importance of supporting the new generation of professionals: “We are actively investing in industrial culture and creating the conditions for the new generation of opportunities and motivation to remain, work and progress in our country. We want Greece on the next day to be a Greece that produces, innovates and moves forward. “
