How does Pedestrian Airbag Technology work?

Seven sensors are mounted on the front of the car and transmit signals to a central control unit. When the vehicle comes into contact with an object, the signals are changed. The control unit evaluates them and if it detects that they correspond to a human foot, the pedestrian airbag automatically deploys.
The hood hinges are equipped with pyrotechnic mechanisms, which when the system is activated, pull a pin and release the rear part of the hood frame. At the same time, the airbag located under the hood and in front of the base of the windshield is also activated and begins to fill with gas. As it inflates, it lifts the hood, which rises ten centimeters.
