The secretary of the PASOK South Dodecanese Prefecture resigned

His resignation from the post of secretary of his prefecture PASOK South Dodecanese, filed by Nikos Moutsakisby releasing a relevant letter.

He states that he has been systematically undermining during his term, both central and locally.

Mr. Moutsakis, directly against the leadership of the party and for the loss of ideological identity!

Specifically states:

“Three years now, from 2022, I have all struggled with all my might to keep a vision alive that has guided us from September 3, 1974, serving PASOK from the position of the elected secretary of the NE. PASOK N. Dodecanese. Three years of struggle, often lonely, against a wave that is increasingly drowned. It’s time to admit what my heart has long denied: the movement I served no longer exists. During these years, I served the movement with self -denial, operating with integrity and solely in the interest of our faction and islands.

My term was characterized by many positive moments for the movement, by victories and defeats, by success and mistakes. Closing a circle full of experiences, conquests and emotions I keep the positive imprint of my efforts and some comrades in our local communities, because in our days the democratic lineup has again gained a voice in the Dodecanese again by highlighting issues concerning our country and we were present. Nevertheless, my interventions and disagreements with the policy that PASOK has charted do not allow me to remain. During my term I have personally and politically systematically undermining intra -party circles that are more interested in the rule of power than to serve our authorities. At the same time there was a logic of “day” that is still promoted by the center and creates a climate of introversion and division, far from the unifying character that the president should ensure.

PASOK’s leadership, which should be a guarantee of unity and democracy, has turned the party into a small group. She created obits and positions for “days” rejected by society to satisfy her own children, causing anger and dissatisfaction with those who with personal effort and toils returned PASOK – even temporarily – to collective consciousness. He proceeded and proceeds with anti -disgusting interventions of the party’s organizational functioning by creating appointed bodies to capture the democratically elected bodies. He cultivated a climate of revanchism in a post -party period, threatening with deletions, “cutting” elected executives and intervening in local organizations.

I regret that the leadership does not open the party, it closes it. It does not unite, it divides. It does not inspire, it is required. The movement shrinks. And as you say that PASOK is a government solution, you forget that the road to the top is long and rough but becomes inaccessible when our ideological identity is lost. Day by day the movement sinks into marketing fenaki instead of producing policies for many, intervening substantially on the issues of society and practicing opposition to health, housing, economy, safety.

The recent conference in Rhodes is the culmination of this ideological diversion. A conference that should be a step of dialogue on the needs of the island communities has been transformed into a sterile process of validating decisions. The contempt for local executives and elected bodies, who know the particularities of the island regions, was more than obvious. In our place, in our islands, you decided to talk about us without us. Athenian technocrats tell us how to live, while the voice of the islanders is silenced.

Following dozens of my complaints, triceps and unmistakable public attacks I received from the “comrades” and the constant depreciation of Harilaou Trikoupis, I resign from the post of secretary and member of the Prefectural Committee, but not from the principles that made me love it. I am leaving with bitterness, but also with the dignity of the one who refuses to be complicit in the extinction of our history. I leave a executive but not a member of PASOK because I do not unravel the values and ideals of the movement, I do not give you my silence or our values. I leave free from the bonds of hypocrisy, but forever tied to the true PASOK – the one that serves the people and not the system, justice, solidarity and progress and not the struggle, arivism and depreciation.

In closing, I would like to thank the executives who, despite our disagreements and different views, have supported the attempt of the Prefectural Committee in recent years. Who respected the institutions and not the faces. Who courageously defended our values, participated in the processes and served their beliefs. Finally, PASOK’s members who trusted me by highlighting with a member of the NE. And they gave the opportunity and honor to represent them.

It is the story that will decide who consistently served the ideals of the democratic faction and who preferred the impasse and unhappy path of compromise and ideological distancing. And no matter how much they try, they can’t silence the story.

With head high »
